my sexy girl cat, Gigi.
i’ve had this cat for almost 3 years now.
i was out in front of my the second location of our old coffeehouse late one night, BSing with friends, and up walks this small black and white cat. she was pretty young and looked like a little penguin. i grabbed her because i was worried that she’d run out on to busy K Street. i still had an hour left on my work shift and i couldn’t keep her in the cafe so i put her in my car until we closed.
i took her home, fed her and wanted to see how our cat P-Nut took to her. they got along ok. the original goal was to find a home for her. at some point, a friend of mine said she wanted the cat for her daughter but for some reason, that never panned out.
that was ok. i had already fallen for this little girl.
even though she was a little street cat, she seemed slightly prissy and I started calling her Gigi. the name fit her.
a few days after i had found Gigi, Al was petting her and noticed that her tummy was pretty big and full. she was pregnant. but she was just a baby herself, I thought.
eventually she had a nice little litter of 5 and once her babies were weened, Al helped me find homes for them but I couldn’t get rid of Gigi. I lived in a crappy and small apartment and barely had room for myself and P-Nut, let alone a 2nd cat, but i was stuck on her.
unfortunately, after Gigi had her babies, she and P-Nut stopped being nice to each other. In fact, they would get into huge and awful fights every chance they got and it stressed me out to no end. this went on until i moved into the place i’m living now.
when i moved here, I had P-Nut stay in my room because, at the time, he was super neurotic and pretty sketchy around other cats. i let Gigi mingle throughout the rest of the house with my roommate’s 2 cats, Winston and Kaylee. unlike with Peen, she seemed to get on ok with them. problem was, i was going on the road a lot and, while Gigi had company in Winston and Kaylee, P-Nut was in my room alone, with no one to keep him company.
eventually, Al and I decided to move him over to her place so she could spend time with him.
it was the best move we wever made with him. he’s healthier than ever and gets along fine with, not only Al’s 2 cats, Pretty and Hilo.
he tries to get along with her dog Lulu but Lulu doesn’t care for P-Nut too much.
